Abigail's Jewel Box

Welcome to our new website!

Welcome to our new website!

It has been fun and exciting … and a challenge … to revise this website in order to show the depth of our collection.

Abigail’s Jewel Box, located in Northeast Connecticut is a “hidden gem”. And I can say, with all certainty and assurance that I have never seen a greater array of jewelry in one place! I grew up on the Main Line of Philadelphia and graduated from Boston College. The iconic J.E. Caldwell and Shreve Crump and Low were where we shopped. As a little child I remember sales associates cleaning the candelabra’s for sale with white cotton gloves in the morning. If you looked at them … or at jewelry … its details were lovingly explained to you. Here at Abigail’s you can experience the same phenomenon … well perhaps not the white gloves, but definitely the passion for jewelry from yesteryear.

As we photographed jewelry for this site we kept looking for more unique pieces. We have tried to convey a flavor for what we carry. Diamonds, filigree engagement rings from the 1920’s, retro modern rings, new rings, models for custom rings….. the list goes on and on and on. And includes pieces from The Tomassi Collection, a collection of never worn Victorian jewelry, crafted by Providence jeweler, Antonio Tomassi.

We have rings, earrings, brooches, necklaces, cameos, sterling silver. George Jensen, Tiffany & Co. David Yurman and so much more. Please stop in and see what you can find for your loved one this holiday season.

And, last but not least, we can recycle your old mismatched, never worn jewelry into something new and wonderful. Or we can simply purchase it from you. We buy gold, gold coins, silver, silver flatware. Appraisals can be done for anything you might need one for and Jeffrey is an expert at jewelry repair.

In keeping with the spirit of giving, a contribution from all sales in December will be made to Abby’s Place, a shelter for battered women and children from all financial walks of life, in Worcester, Ma.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
